Framing on Big Island

As a notice to customers, I have experienced significant wood availability and timing issues as I attempt to frame my art. Framing is usually a lengthy process taking most shops about three weeks or longer to mat and build a frame. Here during high season, November through January, this can take around 6 weeks. It is my goal to place my Hawaiian-inspired art in wood that is local: Koa, Mango, and Monkeypod. However, Koa pieces are not easy to come by and the artists that work with them are not always on island, creating additional delays. I will frame my art in custom local wood while supplies last. If you would like the art without a frame for cost and timing reasons, please let me know!
